About Us

The Ulverstone Four Wheel Drive Club was founded in 1985 by a group of like minded four wheel drive enthusiasts with a passion to explore. Today we are still the same family friendly club with 13 financial members that enjoy exploring Tasmania's back yard and showing others what Tasmania has to offer.

The club consist of many different makes and models of vehicles, and all members have different levels of 4WD experience. These vehicles are our pride and joy so the moto "cruising without bruising" plays a huge roll in not just protecting the environment but our vehicles as well.

The Ulverstone Four Wheel Drive Club meets on the last Monday of every month at the Ulverstone Apex Caravan Park at 7:30pm, you can find us in the BBQ area.

Our annual general meeting is held in June before the meeting, office bearers positions are then open for other members to take on a role.

The clubs financial year is from 1st April until the 31st of March. Members fees are due to be paid before the June Meeting.

From a short day trip or a night away under the stars, the club aims to hold at least one or more trips a month around the North and North West Coast. The long weekends and Easter holidays are set aside for exploring around the North East and Southern areas of Tasmania.

New members are welcome to join us for two trips and a meeting before you are eligible to become a member. This is a great chance if you are a little unsure if a four wheel drive club is for you.

The annual mid year dinner is held around late June early July. The night is a great opportunity to sit down all together and catch up on the trips.

The Ulverstone Four Wheel Drive Club is affiliated with Four Wheel Drive Tasmania. 4WD Tasmania is a non- for profit organisation representing 4WD recreational vehicle clubs and their members.
